Poll question: 11-30-2007 DU straw poll of DU's top six announced candidates
Keep this kicked, the results of the 11-26-2007 polls here in GD and GD-P were very interesting (several ties) but very low in votes-in a couple of weeks we will have the DU final four.

Candidates are listed in alphabetical order.

DU it, your vote only takes a few seconds-and keep this kicked.

5. I ran all candidate polls from September until this week
we even had a 1,000+ DU vote one at the end of October, these polls were here in GD, in GD-P and even The Lounge-these are the top six DU candidates based on those polls.

It isn't scientific, it's DU.

4. What about undecided?
Edited on Fri Nov-30-07 04:21 PM by Bleachers7
More people support undecided than 2-3 of the candidates.

8. Ummm, so?
I don't get your point. It's important to know how many people are left to convince relative to overall support.

10. What is the point you don't get about people that haven't decided?
Moreover, as far as "convincing" people- many of us have been and are doing that.

15. The point is that it's important to know how many people are undecided in relation to the voter pool
Besides, I am one of those undecided people. ;)

What's the point of excluding legitimate declared candidates?

28. I agree.
particularly with the kucinich - paul thing, it'd be interesting to see how many would have moved from Dennis further left (to Gravel), whereas this poll only offers the option to move further right.

And your point about the percentage of undecideds is valid.

9. I didn't vote in these and didn't see the thread
I think the DU fundraiser poll was a lot more indicative of DU suuport, because it was out there for a week and Kucinich won that.

16. You may need to add Ron Paul
he probably will get more votes here than, say, Gravel or Biden or Dodd.

25. Just goes to show what one bad press article can do to a candidate
Although he has clarified that he would not be asking Paul to run as VP, people are now skiddish about him. Even though his original statement indicates he is an inclusive candidate, not one to polarize the country.

26. OT, but I think considering RP for VP is one of the worst ideas I have ever heard
this primary season. If he wanted to unite the country, there are plenty of other ways to do it. We don't need to have bad Republicans as VPs. Further, I am under the impression that a priority of many DUers is to keep Hillary from the nomination. It looks like a vote for Edwards, Obama, or Biden has a better shot of acheiving that goal than a vote for Kucinich.

ALas, this is just a DU poll, so we will have to wait and see what happens in the real world.

31. Nope, he's still in it -- I just sent him some more money.
I moved from Kucinich to Dodd a few weeks ago. I decided that although I agree with Kucinich on every issue, I think Dodd is more pragmatic and able to get things done, without selling his soul along the way.

He just doesn't have enough support here to make the top six. Too bad, I think he is a candidate that a lot of us could live with, he's just not as flashy as the others.

39. Why Is Dodd's Name Not Listed In The Poll Above??
Can anyone explain to me why Dodd's name is not listed above.

Is it because he is from Connecticut?

Or is it because his hair is white?

He is, after all, a Democrat running for President.
