Here's the audio of a great speech by Sen. Clinton, in Iowa over the weekend.
http://www.zshare.net/audio/60884661adb70b/And it re-inforces why I support Sen. Clinton, and why I believe she should be the next President of the United States.
At one point in the speech, she returns to a theme that I've heard her stress over and over again. That is: doing what we know works.
In this particular speech, she talks about creating new jobs. And she says that we KNOW how to create jobs in this country, because we've done it before.
In other words, the emphasis is on doing what we already know works.
And wow, Sen. Clinton truly has a record of accomplishment she can be proud of:
- Working on children's issues at the Children's Defense Fund
- Reforming education in Arkansas
- Convening the first White House Conference on Breast Cancer
- Working for democracy all over the world
- Preventing George W. Bush from privatizing social security
- Helping sponsor legislation which now prohibits the Pentagon from trying to get back the signing bonuses of wounded soldiers. The Pentagon was trying to force injured soldiers to give back their signing bonuses, and Sen. Clinton helped sponsor legislation that said no way will you do this.
And so much more.
