Have the repubs succeeded in making torture acceptable to the average American?
And don't you find this alarming? Torturepologists on every political talk show for several years, and the result might be a softening of our acceptance for torture, the president who just can't stop talking about torture, and Gitmo still stands. Are we through the torture looking glass now?

6. Sadly, I think they have. That we even have a debate over whether a method used in the
Crusades and by the Viet Cong is torture shows just how successful they were at "de-intensifying" it.
