Yesterday, In New Hampshire, a meaningful part of the population moved closer to be treated equally.
Yet, I saw no mention of it on DU. True enough, I may have missed a few threads. But I should think that any time a state moves to be more inclusive (albeit not fully inclusive) of their citizens is a day to celebrate. Or at least make a mention.
And it's possible some are unsure about celebrating anything that isn't "fully inclusive." Because it might be the excuse for NEVER granting full inclusion. There's room for a lot of debate there.
5. You're absolutely right. This is not a simple matter and universal cause to cheer
The issue is an important one to me. But with no horse in the race (so to speak) my opinions matter little. I'm of a mind that getting anything now is better than nothing. I see success (marriage for all or marriage for none) coming incrementally. I also know many see it as all or nothing and civil unions as little more than a way to keep the issue from moving further. I respect both sides of the arguments and personally favor nothing less (in the end) than marriage equality.
But still ...... not even a mention anywhere that I saw ....... even if one opposes it, I should think a mention was warranted.
8. Hmmmm, A cute Italian? And I know you can cook....
Ever thought of relocating? Kidding aside I'm damn proud of us.Been up here 14 years and how we can do Civil Unions while we can't even sign on to Chavez for heating oil baffles me....
