Scarborough is bottoming out...

1. Referring to Romney: he first said that he had a lot of Mormon friends and then, "He's so 'Mormon'.

2. Started praising water-boarding again and David Shuster really let him have it, told Joe that he'd lost the argument the last time, that he (Shuster)wanted Americans who fight for their country to be safe when captured from these types of torture and that America should be a BETTER country than those we're trying to defeat. The net effect of this was that it made Joe back down just a little and STOP.

3. Prefaces every discussion point by referring to his 'roots' in the White South...as though being from a Redneck neighborhood places him on a higher plane.

4. Generally pigheaded and revolting. Imagine: he kisses his wife and kids with that mouth.

basically a jerk

every one in a while he has an opinion or observation that has some merit. But it is very, very rare.

he should be so 'on the mark'.

As for the "my roots are in the White South" thing...maybe he's thinking of that as more of an excuse than anything else. "I can't help it if I look so good wearing a white sheet."
