2. Oh nuts. The only ones that would need to consider dropping out are the
guys in the back of the pack. This one caucus isn't a make or break deal. That's all media hype.

36. Why would they (like Edwards)? NBC is part of GE, a rather large corporation. (NT)

4. funny, they were ignoring his existence until a few days ago. Revisionist history...
I think they are trying to dampen the bounce he is going to get and try to make it sound like it was his to lose all along and no big deal when he wins.

6. boy. Is the writers' strike making people that desperate for drama?
If they're saying things like that this early in the campaign, I wonder what over-the-top Bruckheimer imagery they're going to trot out for Super Tuesday.

8. I understand what they mean.
Whoever comes in third is pretty much toast, and the argument is that getting second, Edwards doesn't exceed expectations enough to stay in the game. Not sure I agree, but this much is certain--he has to come in no less than second to remain at all viable.

15. Msnbc has been playing the Obama/Romney Road Tour ALL day.
They've given LITTLE if any airtime to Edwards. Of course they are going to try to spin this sort of crap. If Edwards wins then they will have to explain WHY they've given him so little airtime today.

then only #s 1, 3, 4 and 5 will be going on to New Hampshire.

Thats how it works.

30. Yep.
It's an obscure but still important rule. If the candidate's last name begins with an E and their first name begins with a J, if they come in second they're out of the race. Period. No more chances.

17. The reason for coming to Iowa is because it is cheap. You don't have to spend
alot of money to convince us that your the right candidate. What you do have to do is be the right candidate because we will find you and we will find the truth. Its what Iowa has done in the past and what I firmly believe will happen in less than 1 hour.

25. That about says it for me.
They really don't want to tangle with a President John Edwards. They are quite comfortable raking in our money and profiting from the war machine and don't want that boat rocked. The other top two Democratic candidates will either fare miserably against the Republican candidates, or if elected President will cave when it comes to fighting parasites like G.E.

the states with the most population (and the most to lose) should be just as important or more important than Iowa.

I am not really paying attention.
