4. We do too.
Everyone I spoke with on the Edwards and Obama groups at the caucus tonight want to see them together on the ticket.

5. Hi, Blue_In_AK. I think of the volunteers for all the candidates and can
try to feel what they're feeling out in Iowa right now.

I guess first thing they're feeling is the wintry weather. They're likely freezing their asses off.

Next thing is that they all have a lot to be proud of and my hat's off to 'em.

Certainly Obama came from behind and won the caucuses, and the newspapers tomorrow are going to be ablaze with history and sensation. It bodes well for him in five days in New Hampshire and I think the editorial board of the Des Moines REGISTER might want to re-think their positions come the next cycle. Vilsack and the REGISTER got their fannied tanned this evening. I was rooting for another candidate, but Iowans voted as they did.

Hope you're doing well, and a happy new year to you!

8. I'm disappointed that my guy didn't place first, but think how'd we'd feel
if we were Republicans! Huckabee, riding a wave of ignorant fundie nutjob love, is now the leading contender for the GOP in 2008.

My god.

13. I know....
God, if I was an average Republican, I'd be three times more depressed tonight than I currently am. I really don't see how the Huckster can keep up the momentum. I think he'll flame out in the more rational states (no offense to Iowans, but, really....)

18. Agree. The Republican higher-ups will systematically begin to loosen the
bolts on Huckabee's Ark. Gurgle gurgle gurgle it will go under the great seas.

10. Hey there, Swamp Rat. Yes. Geaux John Edwards. We'll have to pick
up a newspaper tomorrow morning and see if we fight on.

The 1-2-3 finish is awfully close.

14. God what a visual profile of a fanatic. I agree with you completely.
Huckabee is more than just distasteful. He's dangerous and unstable.

A frightening, frightening man.

17. Might as well call him Ayatollah Huckabee
Don't be surprised if he chooses Franklin Graham, Gordon Robertson, or some other insane christofascist as his running mate.

20. Franklin Graham. What a monster. But of course, Huckabee's nuts enough
Edited on Thu Jan-03-08 10:38 PM by Old Crusoe
to do just that -- pick a monster like Franklin Graham.

I think Huckabee's GOP opponents are going to start some whitekknuckled politics and I think there's likely to be a few loose teeth on the floor real soon.

he sure kicked her ass.

16. I guess she still has a buck or two saved up to fight on, but I agree that the
inevitability voltage she had early on is mostly an intermittent signal now.

Sen. Obama whomped her and John Edwards either tied her or beat her.

On she goes, but it will be a much tougher slog from here on.
