2. But it could also mean that last time around they did not like Kerry or Dean
and never bothered to even caucus

3. What were the numbers on the Republican side?
Edited on Thu Jan-03-08 11:42 PM by MJDuncan1982
I.e., is this a broad trend or do the Republicans have something to be very fearful of tonight?

Shuster (sp) just said it was largely a Democratic tidal wave...Good God...has my generation - the current youth - finally come of age?!

11. Quick add came to 103,045 for the Republicans. That means that the Republicans in 2004
Edited on Thu Jan-03-08 11:45 PM by MJDuncan1982
had to have come in around 54,000 in order to increase by the same level as the Democrats did this year (as of right now)...extremely unlikely.

Incredible...

7. 114,000 I believe.
Still more for the Republicans than in 2004, but obviously no growth like the Democrats.

14. There was an incumbant in 04 so their increase is actually pathetic.

5. Interesting
Wonder how many will vote Democratic in the GE? I suspect there were more than a few GOP spoilers in there voting.

9. That's not a bad thing either.. It proves that their own
slate of possibilities stunk so much, they didn;t bother to caucus FOR any of them..and any negative they thought they were doing to our side was not really a negative since Huckleberry the squirrel cooker won :)

10. lol
MSM trying to talk up the rethug turn out as up. By using numbers from a while ago. Someone tell that reporter the nation population is up in general. A small increase in republican turn out from 7 years ago is not news.

12. That is really good news.
I would equate that to high interest in the stakes of this election, and high turn-out tends to favor Democrats.
