The youth vote turned out in droves, apparantly FOR democrats.

Things are looking extremely strong for the Democratic Party....

Remember, its about controlling Congress as well as the Presidency...

3. Agreed. Not many speeches give me goosebumps....
...Obama's did tonight. I saw a glimpse of Bobby Kennedy in Obama; what can be possible. This country is ready to move forward and the young people are ready to make it happen. It gives me tremendous hope and makes me feel the dark tunnel we've been in the last 8 years finally has a light at the end.

4. The only thing that scares me is that once upon a time, when I was young
a generation of young people had hope, and we all know how that ended:cry:

5. We can't think that way. We can't be afraid to believe it can happen.

6. I thought John Edwards' speech was inspiring....
but this night belongs to Obama.

What scares me about Obama is his past support for Joe Lieberman and Obama's non-mandatory Healthcare plan (which Paul Krugman has debunked as not workable)

9. He is young but I think will be willing to work with others.
If Obama surrounds himself with good people and has an open mind to policy recommendations, he'll be fine. I can forgive him Joe Lieberman - hell, he was Gore's VP.

But Obama won big in a "blue" state where young people went to the polls to vote for someone. I haven't been hearing the talking heads tell us how huge the youth vote turned out for the Huckster on the republicon side.

That may be a harbinger for the rest of the country.
