My candidate was Biden, and I honestly prefer Edwards to either Obama or Clinton, but the fact of the matter is that last night was really exciting.
We have three very formidable candidates here.
Last night surprised me. I didn't think Iowa would elect Obama. I thought that perhaps on a second vote, the "second choice" votes would go to Edwards or Clinton.
But what happened has made me hugely proud. And his eloquent speech actually activated in me the effect he probably intended, which was pure adrenal hope and exhilaration, the likes of which I haven't experienced in a long, long time.
Who knows that the future will hold, or whether he is Presidential material or not, but we could do worse than Obama, Edwards or HRC.
And I hope we haven't heard the last of Biden--I think he would make one hell of a VP.
EDIT: I would really hope this doesn't turn into a combattive thread attacking anyone. I just wanted to bask--for one brief moment--in the exhilaration of having three Democrats make such impressive appearances last night.
Obama wins, and everyone makes incredible speeches. I think it's a moment to be proud to be a Democrat. The battle is yet to come, but I want to enjoy this fleeting moment.
