Beware of the candidates the Corporate Media cheers

Flame away, but I think that Barack & Hilliary are the new replacement candidates for the corporate nomination. The Republicans have become so despised that the corporate rule can't simply go on with replacing one Republican candidate with another. People are
angry. Really angry. Kucinich is the only one who completely advocates what most of us believe, yet he can't get even most of the support on a 'progressive' board. He isn't politically 'feasible'. So, we go with people who have shown terrible judgement in highly important areas. (Hilliary voting to include Iran's Army as a terrorist group, & Barrack allowing a blatant homophobe to speak at one of his events in the South & selling out the progressives in the fight to stop Alito from ascending to the supreme court, coming out against us on national tv in the core of the fight saying we were going about it the wrong way...some fighter). Edwards appears to have comprehended some of his mistakes, but it is still a gamble of what he would actually do when in office.

I will vote for a dem because that is the reality in which we live. However, be VERY wary. Deval Patrick is the first black governor of MA, campaigned for by Obama. A HEAVY corporatist record, but the progressives in MA wouldn't hear a word against him. I was a delegate for that convention, I know. Patrick gave an impassioned speech & the crowd was on the floor in the hype & hope of change. When I tried to discuss his history working for Coca-cola & the questionable defense of their business practices, I was greeted with anger & disdain. One person told me 'It is GOOD that he is so in with the corporations because he will know how to work with them'.

A year later he is touring to promote state wide casino gambling. Our great progressive hope trying to spread casinos across the state to generate revenue. Now, the progressives are surprised.

A people's uprising is what it will take to get our government back under our control. My best hope is that the next reign of democratic control will expose deep truthes, and move the country to fight for deep and lasting progressive change.

2. I like Deval Patrick...
and voted for him. I understand how casino's can bring money into the state..and have no problem with that if the area is chosen carefully...and the casino is far enough away from Foxwoods, and Mohigan Sun to actually make some money. I don't know how much more you can tax cigarettes. Corporations provide a lot of jobs in this state, so while I wish they were all locally owned, community minded businesses....well...what can I say? For the most part I'm pretty content with my town and my state representatives. I think of D.C. as another country...with little in common with this state.

3. Proven time and time again the money made is spent in social costs

It is an unethical and sorry way to raise money.

Corporations own the government & write the law for their benefit.

They are not inherently evil, however, how they currently manifest is INDEED evil, and it needs to be stopped.

6. There needs to be a better way...
but what is it? Until the federal government leaves the picture, the state government is caught between a rock and a hard place. It's kind of funny that so many of what may be perceived as the most evil corporations of all...the defense corporations are based here and provide so many jobs.

4. that`s what dennis said last night--
the public owns the air waves and the corporations decide who they want us to hear. the only canidates they want us to hear are those who least offend them. i notice that no one on that stage has objected to dennis not being there even though he is still running.

5. The need to put a 'friendlier' face on what's happening is obvious
I agree with your analysis...def. That line is chillingly all too familiar: "I was greeted with anger & disdain."It's always the individual struggling to make the overlooked/ignored valid point - the one that you'd think would be blatantly obvious for all to comprehend - that receives the brunt of the hostility. Never underestimate the power of denial.
