If Edwards starts to gain states and in the polls, I fully expect a full-court press by the MSM to destroy him and paint him in a negative light. Bet on it.

Remember all the talk about the so-called "$400 haircut"? As if YOUR tax dollars weren't paying for, say, Ronald Reagan's or George Bush's pricey dye-jobs? There's a reason for the haircut: he's running for Prez, and what he pays is between him and his supporters (who do NOT mind the expense, believe me...).

31. The "haircut" nonsense is actually good news
It means they have nothing of any actual substance to attack him with.

I still see the "haircut" thing as a video response to many of the Edwards clips on YouTube. I just add a comment thanking the pukes who posted it, because it proves they have nothing.

32. They have nothing, but it is an effective psychological attack on his masculinity.
The whole "haircut" thing was not about painting him as a hypocrite, but to question his manhood. Remember this non-news event was occuring around the same time that succubus Coulter was calling him a "faggot" and others in the MSM Repuke message machine were performing similar emasculation exercises.

In crude terms, they are attempting to equate populist concerns with being a "pussy." Similar psychological warfare terms were employed in the era of the "bleeding-heart liberal" moniker.

37. An attack on his masculinity -- that BACKFIRED!
Case in point: my wife. She read about the "$400 haircut" the afternoon the GOP injected the talking point into the discourse. That night, as we were watching the news, she saw a clip of Edwards, commented "He looks great!"

My sister had a similar reaction. Both are indie voters, and borth have been damn impressed by Edwards since the GOPMSM started trying to bring him down.

I am for Kucinich. Or the ghost of Eugene Debs.

But I am willing to take my chances on Edwards, after tonight.

I increasingly get the impression that Obama is all style and no substance, which is ironic, because I used to feel that way about Edwards - his smooth trial lawyer delivery turned me off, and reminded me of pre-2000 Al Gore. But now I think he just *might* "get it" - in which case, I will support him.
