I liked Edwards since the day he came to Bond Hill...
Edited on Sun Jan-06-08 01:21 PM by slor
as VP nominee during the 2004 campaign. Bond Hill is an African American neighborhood in Cincinnati, where I grew up as a teen. It was and still is, an economically depressed neighborhood, and as is typical in those areas, it suffered from a higher rate of crime. I lived in Cincinnati during that time (moved to Sebastopol, CA in 2006) and worked near the Bond Hill area so I was able to see him after work. Let me tell you, he had us ready to bum rush the white house that very day. He was funny, charming, intelligent, and he made the effort to come to a largely forgotten neighborhood to talk to us. You could see how people were ready to get behind him then, and I am talking about people who were suspicious of any and all politicians and rightfully so. I remember wishing the ticket was reversed, that Kerry was the one for VP. Edwards had the fight in him, and he made it come out in us that day. I believe he is the one that will really take on the powerful interests that really control our country and bring about a real change. I will vote for any of the Democrats over any of the republicans, but I really hope that my vote will go to John Edwards as our new President.

2. Same here. I think Edwards is gaining momentum right now.
The man is brilliant! And he's strong. I feel Obama is not strong. He has Oprah and more money, but he just doesn't "have" what it takes to be president.

3. If it had been Edwards/Kerry, Edwards would be President right now.
because it was EDWARDS, who would NOT accept the rigged Ohio election "results" and wanted to fight to the finish and
expose the election fraud. it was KERRY who opted to immediately fold and run with his tail between his legs.
