On KO: Jonathan Alter got it wrong when discussing Romney...

On KO: Jonathan Alter got it wrong when discussing Romney...
he said "the problem is that no former Gov or Senator from MA has ever lost the NH primary..." but that isn't true. In 1980 Ted Kennedy challenged President Carter for the Dem nomination and Carter beat Kennedy by 47-39 percent in the NH primary.

My point: Often the pundits get it wrong.

3. Alter isn't that kind.
He's not the type to deliberately repeat lies in hopes of getting others to believe. I'm sure he made an honest mistake.

4. I think you're right about Alter
But the guys on most of these shows say it over and over, and louder and louder (Carville, I'm looking at you) and people start repeating it.
