My point #3: Obama-mania is real and bigger than America
It's a global phenomenon. Read the news stories coming out of the world press - what the locals are saying in Germany and Kenya. They all wish they could see him in person and hear him speak.

The Obama movement is far, far bigger than anything America has witnessed in its 232-year political history. It's bigger than The Beatles and Grateful Head combined. Look at the Iowa numbers.

33. No he isn't. All of the OP's "pro-bama" posts are designed to turn folks off to Obama.
Think about it- this one sends the message:
"Shut UP, tiny US voter- Germans and Kenyans favor Obama!"

It's not a pro-Obama thing to say; it's carefully-crafted
anti-Obama AgitProp. Just like all the OP's annoying spam
posts, it's designed to annoy people and turn them against
Obama.

I'm already NOT an Obama-fan...but for real reasons, not for
any of this shameless nonsense.

3. But he's not running to govern the world. He's running to govern America.
Are you saying that, say, Africa, would take precedence over AMERICA?

24. Lanky like Lincoln. He's -- dare I say -- almost Lincolnlanky.
I wonder if he'd grow a beard after he takes office. That would be okay, I guess, unless he also wore a stovepipe hat. But I could live with that, too, so long as it wasn't a stovetop hat, which might make him look like Carmen Miranda. I don't think Carmen Miranda would be an effective president. She'd be interesting singing with the Grateful Head, though.

What were we talking about, now? :smoke:

in Iowa. Portions of New Hampshire and South Carolina still listening to "Dark Star" and "She Loves You", but resistance is crumbling!

12. Missed Beatlemania did ya...
Little girls by the thousands aren't crying at the sight him, and nobody's throwing clothes at him, he's not being chased to his car by thousands of screaming girls trying to tear off his clothes. The worship of a politician and a rock star are not even close to the same thing. Honestly it's an insult to musicians to be compared to politicians.

17. Yeah, you guys should google Obama Germany
The story you'll find is really inspiring. Finally, I won't be scared to travel! I was in Prague right after the last Bush election and there were posters everywhere of Bush with fangs and blood dripping from the fangs.

It made me want to wear an anti-Bush sign! Of course, I didn't vote for him, but they didn't know that!

25. Mania is right
Mania: An excessively intense enthusiasm, interest, or desire; a craze.

Here is how I mock much (not all) of the Obama support I see:
I am progressive because I plan to vote for the cool black guy with the cool name!
Never mind if he is actually progressive or not. He sounds progressive.

It always kicks one in the butt.

I don't buy the media generated hype, over a candidate who speaks in grand generalities.
