I heard an idiot on Democracy Now saying he was voting for McCain because he was tired of all the partisanship and wanted change. LOL. McCain, while he used to have some good points, has been in Washington forever and is not exactly an agent of change. And just what is wrong with a little partisanship? The Republicans are all suddenly jumping on the change bandwagon but their kind of change is not the kind of change we want.
The Democrats have been bending over backwards for years to compromise with Republicans but the only compromise acceptable to Republicans is that we give in to what they want. Now, hopefully, we will gain seats in the House and Senate so that we can actually get things done without threat of filibuster. I want a little partisanship in Washington because you cannot compromise with a rabid dog, which is how I see Republicans these days. Especially the fundy kind who want to quarantine aids patients or strip women of what little reproductive freedom we still have. As far as I am concerned there is no compromising on women's rights, gay rights or the environment. And any candidate, by their actions or by their associations, who reveals that they will compromise on those issues will NEVER have my vote.
