Are Michigan's delegates still UN-invited to the National Convention?
Lost in recent Iowa and NH news is that on January 15, MI holds a primary.

Last I heard John and Barack were not on the ballot - what about Hillary?

The whole damn thing is a fiasco.

The DNC and MI Dem party's turf war = no representation for anybody?

Y'all must be pissed in MI!!!!

1. I AM pissed, but not with the DNC....
I live in Michigan and would have loved to see our delegates go to Denver to cast their votes but even more I want to see the process work as it was agreed upon last year. These idiots who decided to buck the very rules they agreed to earlier have demoralized Democrats in this state and will only have themselves to blame when they lose big in 2008.

3. Great link! As 1/15/08 nears - keep this story kicked!
Surely Hillary getting all those freebie delegates would create a backlash - I'd assume.

Power to the UNCOMMITTED! :applause:

4. no delegates, and no point in voting either
As someone else pointed out here, it's a big loss for all Dem chances in Michigan. This will only work to get the non-partisan voters excited about the republicans. There's no point in voting in the primary either, even if they decided to award us delegates, because not all of the candidates are on the ballot - it just wouldn't be democratic. I want to see Mark Brewer's ass kicked out on the street.

5. Can you see the Republican attack ads in Michigan???
Picture it ...
Michigan isn't overly fond of Democrats right now. The economy if fucked. Granholm and the Democratic house can't get anything past the Republican senate.

People are worried about losing their homes, about losing their jobs ...

And for some fucked up reason, our brilliant politicians decide Michigan will be better off if the primary is moved up a week.

Well, the Republicans, at least, got on the ballot.

The Dems? Hillary is the only candidate of note.

And if Obama and Edwards supporters carry the vote by checking the "uncommitted option," I can see the Republican television ads in the Presidential election.

"Barack Obama ... Uncommitted ... to Michigan voters."

Morons.

6. I'm in Michigan. Why shouldn't I vote in the Repug primary?
I truly fear Romney and the folks he's hired.

Why shouldn't I?

7. I ask myself the same question
Only thing is, I have never voted for any Repube candidate, ever, in my entire life and just couldn't bring myself to do it. At least in MI and FL the Repuke votes count for half. Dem primary votes count for nothing. Plus the only D's on the ballot are Hillary, Dodd, Gravel, Kucinich and Uncommitted, as well as write-in that they won't count. What a fucked situation for D's in MI.
