I am sick of defending the Clintons BUT Tweety's latest is so vicious I'm at it again.
Tweety says Hillary is only where she is today because Bill cheated. Not because of Bill, but because Bill "messed around".

"This is pretty rich. Last night, Matthews said: "I give her a lot of personal credit; I will never underestimate Hillary Clinton again."

But by this morning Matthews had already forgotten his newfound respect for her. He said: "The reason she's a U.S. Senator, the reason she's a candidate for President, the reason she may be a front-runner, is her husband messed around. That's how she got to be Senator from New York. We keep forgetting it. She didn't win it on the merits..."

For 16 years I've been defending Bill Clinton even though I was not a big fan of his policies. He was/is too conservative for me. But they went after him for the wrong reasons. They decided to impeach him in November 1992 BEFORE he'd even been sworn into office. I thought we had to draw a line in the sand and not let them get away with crap like that or we'd go down as a party. (Like Congress?)

Now they are making me, and the voters in NH (?) draw that same line in the sand for Hillary.

Either way, I'm pretty sick of Tweety and for you KO lovers out there, he was almost as disgusting last night (since Iowa really).

(For those of you who missed it, Hillary did get Tweety pretty good in an interview basically saying she'll not go on his show because he is unfair...it was a tape from a few days ago. Of course, Tweety is proud of the moment instead of ashamed as he should be. He actually pinched her cheek. Gutter swine.)

1. Tweety is a dinosaur
and the women of this campaign - Hillary and Elizabeth Edwards, anyway - are proving it. Did you catch Elizabeth's mild scolding the other day? It was priceless.

2. Love the T-shirt and it's exactly my point!
They go after her for such unfair shit and I end up wearing an "Iron Your Own Shirt" t-shirt! In support of her.

Maybe I'll send one to Tweety.

3. Tweety's annointed candidate didn't win.....
NH like all the media and polls predicted and now he is coming up with the excuses. How dare people not listen to who he thinks should win.

15. His very bitter response this morning was
(on MSNBC's Morning Joe) that the polled Democrats lied.
Mika and Joe were really having fun with Tweety at his expense. And he wasn't taking it well. The laughing all the time, often inappropriately -- just like GWB, guy was replaced this am. by a sleep-deprived cranky old man who's smart enough to sense he's becoming a joke.

8. No, he pinched her cheek
(I've seen it at least 3 times) KO even commented on how Chris pinched her.

After he pinched her cheek, she touched him on the cheek, but it was not a pinch.

9. Mathews rope a dopes democrats who get caught up in his game, leaving them witout
out energy to do what needs to be done.

His statements are only designed to rope a dope. It is what keeps him on the air.

I have to hand it to those Ron Paul supporters who put fear into Fox News by carrying their anger into the streets and stalking the media who trashed them.

It would be nice to have some grown ups giving us the news...besides Stewart/Colbert that is.

16. I believe it scared them. They are going to be less apt to do negative coverage and it creates a
little crack between the higher ups and the rank and file (who will be muttering that they don't get paid to be harassed).

11. Tweety was in a snit this morning
on MSNBC's Morning Joe. Do you know why he was so wrong about Obama winning by two digits? Because, according to Chris, Dem. voters lied in the polls. Mika was really tweaking poor Tweety. And he was not taking it well. He was not the jovial joking Chris. He was cranky and bitter. He kept making extremely inflammatory statements about Bill Clinton's tactics during the past week while defending his own predictions for New Hampshire. Meanwhile, Joe Scarborough poked at Tweety, saying maybe his attacks on Hillary helped spur the female vote to turn out for her. Along with Rupert Murdoch's "Panic" headlines and Tim Russert's snarky attitude towards her during the debates.
Hillary isn't my primary choice. John Edwards is. But I'll vote for Hillary if she's the nominee. And I'll vote for Obama. Both with enthusiasm. I do enjoy watching the smug pundits get their asses handed to them with each vote. The sleep deficit combined with their public humiliation makes for interesting theater the next morning.

12. Fucking PIG. I detest that SOB piece of CRAP.
:grr: If he keeps his vitriolic attacks going he's going to see so many more women flock to Hillary...he won't know what freakin' hit him and I'll be one of them. Asshole. He never says that kind of shit about the men running.

18. I've gone to her defense too
Even though I don't support her. But if they don't stop attacking her and trying to ridicule and marginalize her it's time for women to close ranks. The days of being pushed around by male mental midgets who think they have the entitled birthright to mistreat women should be long gone.

flocked to her? Not to mention the Independent women! They'd have to check Tweety into an insane asylum. Don't piss off a lady.;)

Wouldn't it be grand to see Tweety carted off on live TV in a straight jacket?

22. Too many of us actually were part of the
feminist movement and fought hard to open doors. Baby boomer women will unite, just like we did before, and look at how that changed the men's world! It's been decades since anyone uttered the phrase, "This is a man's world"

23. Makes one wonder if Matthews
Edited on Wed Jan-09-08 01:05 PM by Clinton Crusader
realizes how he will piss women off with his constant badgering of Clinton. Well, it's really gone beyond badgering. Or if his hatred is so out of control he doesn't see the forest for the proverbial trees.

Maddow pretty much told him as much last night.

ON EDIT: And his roundabout with Elizabeth Edwards as well.

17. Watching Tweety implode last night made it all worthwhile
I thought his head would would fly off.

It was truly priceless. They are coming up with everything and anything, any excuse they can dredge up. The only one I haven't heard thus far is Vince Foster, or maybe it got past me when I was making coffee.

Matthews is a hack, pure and simple, he makes my skin crawl.

My husband and I only stuck with MSNBC to watch Tweety go truly apoplectic, I thought who would have a seizure live on TV. And I AM a huge KO fan, but I am so disappointed in his behavior lo these past few days. Truly.

Also, talk about clutching at straws! My husband and I almost laughed ourselves into insanity when Tweety got all soft, gooey and emotional when he started waxing poetic when the Obamas were onstage waving at their supporters, when he announced to the world how MUCH they looked like Jack and Jackie Kennedy. Good Lord, Tweety, control yourself and have a Valium. I just waited for my TV to melt.

I tell ya Matthews better stock up on Pepto, Immodium, Mylanta, Tums, Valium and Xanax.

But it is entertainment at it's finest. He makes me sick.

24. a woman doesn't get the vote for the cheating hubby, she gets the blame, not sympathy.
she is scorned, she is accused of the reason why her hubby cheated, but she doesn't get the vote.

she may have won senate because of association with bill, but she has now earned her place with the job she has done

i dont like hillary. i dont want her to win. but i agree with you that matthews behavior is sexist worst than pig and he has always had a problem when it comes to women. i just cannot even imagine what it must be to have him as hubby, and his wife is known. but i have never had a good feeling with matthews when it came tot he female gender, especially when he has a couple more men with him, ..... then he is the utmost in piggery.

Good or bad he has always talked about her constantly. I got tired of it a long time ago.
