Latest Breaking News: 44% agree "Christians get on my nerves."
I wanted to post this in LBN, since technically it is. But I really, really couldn't resist this quote.

It sounds like the survey might have been....ahem...better structured.

http://www.usatoday.com/news/religion/2008-01-09-unchurched-survey_N.htm?!?!

snip:
A new survey of U.S. adults who don't go to church, even on holidays, finds 72% say "God, a higher or supreme being, actually exists." But just as many (72%) also say the church is "full of hypocrites."

LifeWay Research, the research arm of the Southern Baptist Convention, based in Nashville, conducted the survey of 1,402 "unchurched" adults last spring and summer. The margin of error is plus or minus 2.5 percentage points.

2. That would be 100% of the techs in my office
They were ticked off because someone told them a job by a subcontractor was done when it wasn't. "But the subcontractor is a MINISTER", they were told. They railed about how ministers are right up there with used car salesmen as a group having a high percentage of con artists. And, frankly, I had to agree that the profession does attract those who are more interested in fleecing their flocks than living lives following the doctrines of Jesus.

4. The use of Jesus' name for the sake of personal gain
(or liability coverage) is astonishing.

10. i think a good question would have been
in polling CHURCHGOING Christians, "How many of you are irritated at least SOME of your fellow parishioners?"

Answer rate would be close to 100%
