Politics and the 8th grade Social Studies class
My daughter came home yesterday with a very interesting story from her Social Studies class.
The teacher took them all to the school library and had them go to the Political Philosophy Quiz web site http://www.politicalquiz.net/

All the class took the quiz and had as asked. She reported that most of the class aligned with Hillary Clinton following the quiz. Her results aligned with John Edwards, I don't know where she got those ideals. We discuss politics some, she asks lots of questions.
She said she kept repeating through the quiz, "I hope I am not a Republican."

One student who didn't really want to take the quiz answered Don't Care for all the questions and his results aligned him with Mitt Romney.

Here is the link the quiz if you want to have a little fun with it yourself: http://www.politicalquiz.net/

1. According to the quiz,
Mitt must not care, and that's about right!

2. Woah! Obama by a mile.
Dennis is usually my top in these things, and they put him behind Obama, Gravel, Dodd & Edwards this time.

6. I had to put "don't know/care" on a key question about aggression...
because it didn't address a policy of intervening in genocides, even if they're not a direct threat to the U.S.

13. I had to do "Maybe" on the two war questions, #19 and #24.
You're right...just not enough info for a yes or no answer.

It's just like the Sorting Hat: If you keep repeating
"Not Slytherin"/"I hope I'm not a Republican!", you
won't turn out to be a Slytherin/Republican.

Those guys actively *EMBRACE* the dark side.

7. I am a Hardcore Democrat
10-12-2-3

That was neat.

It says I align most with Obama. He is still my 3rd choice though.

9. I believe that most of us here who took the quiz would be considered Hard Core
Mine was Obama as well but I will continue to support Edwards until there is good reason to change.

12. Surprise! I'm a "Hardcore Democrat."
10 - Progressive
12 - Socialist
2 - Libertarian
2 - Pacifist

88% Obama, 83% Kucinich.

Hillary Clinton is wayyyy down at #8, even behind Biden, Dodd and Richardson.
