Bush Has An Interesting Plan For Middle East Peace
Edited on Thu Jan-10-08 02:40 PM by nightrider767
I can't stand the son of a bitch of course. He's about as subtle as a bull in a china shop. But I heard him articulate his plan today and I must say, I found it quite intriguing.

Basically, he proposes to ram a peace accord up both parties collective ass.

Now, that may not sound like much of a plan of the surface. But let's face it, in the last thirty years, the nice talk has not worked out so well, so maybe a little ass-kicking is in order.

Israel, give those poor bastards their miserable patch of dirt back.

Palestinians, stop murdering people.

Israel is gonna have to, maybe even be forced to, do a bunch of stuff they would never volunteer to do in a thousand years. Same for the Palestinians.

Bush screws everything up, everything.

But who knows... In the end I'd sure like to see some semblance of peace for both sides.

1. He's effectively telling Israel to give up the settlements on occupied territory
that Israel considers to be part of the country.

3. They Brought Up The $30 Bill in US Aid To Isreal
He might be using that as leverage for once.

4. And what will he use as leverage
Our military is shot and our economy borders on the brink of collapse. Seems like the only leverage we have is the billions we give Israel, and that may not be enough.

5. Well if this works out for Bush, I'll be surprised.
He doesn't exactly have a good track record when it comes to doing things like this.

He's mostly about telling lies, drinking, making sure his corrupt buddies get what they need so they in turn will take care of him, and things like that.

7. There is something to be said for that "plan."
Trouble is, it gets us into the "World's policeman" area again. I wholeheartedly agree that such provisions (giving the "patch of dirt" back, stop murdering people, etc) should be put into some sort of action plan or treaty if you will. But then, who the hell is going to enforce it? Is the United States going to spend the rest of forever lording over Israel and the Palestinians, FORCING them to play nice or else we'll blow the fuck out of them? Of course not. Because we'll only blow the fuck out of the Palestinians. The Israelis will continue to do whatever the hell they please with our blessing, and nothing will change.

It would require us to be there PERMANENTLY to referee...uh...hmmm..."it would require us to be there PERMANENTLY"...oh. Uh...never mind. George knows exactly what he's doing, as much as I hate to admit it.
