HISPANIC VOTE 
To win the nomination Obama would have to win California.  To
do that, he might have to get a substantial portion of the
Hispanic vote.  Do you think that his being a minority
(African - American) candidate would lessen his chances to
getting the Hispanic vote???

quite racist. Mexico particularly! Indians and blacks need not apply! The largest and most pervasive distinction is that of Spaniard vs mestizzo(?). I have seen a toning sown of it over the last few years, but believe me it is there and it remains strong.
