Just found Amy Goodman's "Democracy Now!" on my Comcast digital cable
A channel called Bridges TV is carrying it. It's #687 on my local Comcast system.

Take a look. You may be pleasantly surprised.

3. Another show I love...
... along with Mosaic: News from the Middle East and Journal, the English version of Deutsche-Welle's German news.

It's on Link-TV on DirectTV, and I think the channel is called World Link on Dish -- or was when I first learned about the channel, which was from a friend who had Dish.

Mosaic has snippets from various Middle East news sources, both state run and independent news sources. It's really interesting, especially the state-run broadcasts. I like to see what propaganda there is, or what issues are suppressed.

For example, the Iranian state-run news had the same catch-phrase used ANYTIME a nuclear issue was talked about -- "our peaceful nuclear programme." (I use the Brit spelling for that because the lady they had doing the broadcast -- fully covered of course -- was speaking with a precise, crisp British accent and you just hear the spelling. *grin*)

4. Mosaic is a wonderful program. I watch that every day, too.
It's good to get multiple viewpoints, isn't it? And, we're so brainwashed about the Middle East in this country. It's good to go around the propaganda and get the news straight up from the origin.

Welcome to Du, moriah. :hi:

8. Thank you! :)
Thanks for the welcome. Yes, I'm very very new.

I had to find some place to go to talk about the primaries since my man was getting rather tired of me talking to him about it. He votes, but doesn't care to pay attention to it as much as I do.
