I have to admit I like Hucklebee's line about Grandpa Thompson
"I hope the writers strike will end soon so he'll have some better lines."

1. I'm afraid of Huckabee. In a superficial way he's very
likable, like Ronald Reagan, and shows he has a sense of humor. It's what he stands for that will keep our country going in the wrong direction if he fools enough people into voting for him.

2. I totally agree.
He is the only puke running that doesn't immediately trigger the "ick" factor in me. I think he is likeable and it does scare me.

3. Egg-zactly. What lies beneath?
A flat-taxing, choice-opposing, science-hating, fundie preacher.
:puke:

4. I don't watch much MSM news, but it seems like they're hiding his fundy roots.
If he's the nominee we'll have to make sure average voters know exactly what they're voting for. My life-long Republican parents won't vote for another Fundy because they've been screwed by them before.

5. I have to admit that I like Huckabee
Which is sort of scary. Love the dig at Fred Thomspon, who so richly deserves it.

6. He is So Dangerous, and None of Our Candidates Would Stand a Chance of Beating Him
Edited on Sun Jan-13-08 01:09 PM by AndyTiedye
I'm really afraid that the Talibornagains are going to win.

Maybe we should all cross over and vote for Mittens. We can beat Mittens.

8. Huckabee is well behind the Democratic candidates in recent head-to-head polls

Hillary 56% Huck 42%
Obama 58% Huck 39%

John McCain is the only Republican who is close to the Dems.

Hillary 50% McCain 48%
Obama 49% McCain 48%

7. I thought you meant the "metamucil" comment...
Now that was funny when he said Fred needed some.. Maybe irregularity is why Thompson seems to lack energy. He does seem a bit cranky too. Ha, Ha!

10. I thought it was funny, too, but Fred's well past the Metamucil Stage. In other words...
That man needs an enema!

(I've heard too much Moose Chili will do that to ya...)

9. He's the Republican I'm most afraid of in the general
He comes off as a very friendly, funny, likable person and I'm sure he probably is. But his policies are extremely scary!

11. Also...
He makes the Republicans feel "human" again. It doesn't matter if he is a conservative or a liberal, as some of his opponents charge, he is the last remaining hope to save the Republican Party from itself. If Huckabee goes down, the Republican Party goes down also. George W Bush has accomplished the ultimate feat - he has destroyed everything he has been put in charge of, including the Republican Party..
