John Edwards focused on what matters most to voters. Not interested in fights between politicians.
He's been called the presidential campaign's forgotten candidate;
but when former U.S. Sen. John Edwards returns to Nevada today,
his goal is to reassert himself in a race that's become dominated
by his two rivals.

Edwards is not afraid to cast himself as the underdog candidate,
pointing out the extent to which his rivals have outspent him so far.

"Nevada is a very important next test for us."

And with the campaigns of U.S. Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton
in a divisive, racially tinged back-and-forth, Edwards is hoping an
opportunity opens up for him to regain some momentum.

"I've learned from having been through this before to stay focused on
what matters to voters," he said. "They're not interested in fights
between politicians."

1. It would be great if he could rise above the fray.
It would make people take a closer look at his positions. But even if he does win, the media will talk more about Obama and Clinton losing than Edwards winning.

2. lololol
Okay, this is the guy who says John Kerry didn't fight the swiftboaters and he would have.

And this is the guy who interjected himself into the sniping, "I must say I was troubled recently to see a suggestion that real change came not through the Rev. Martin Luther King, but through a Washington politician."

And now he wants to pretend his position is to be above it all???

Too funny.
