For whatever reason, XM replaced Thom Hartman in their Air America line-up with with crab-eating lowlife Ed Schultz.

And this is after XM bought exclusive rights to Air America away from Sirius.

They bought the exclusive rights to Air America, and then they fuck with the line-up and dump Ed Fucking Schultz on us.

And they expect us to believe they will act in the public interest when Sirius and XM merge?

I don't fucking think so.

Fuck XM and fuck Ed Schultz.

I thought Billo was quite disingenuous when he said "say something negative about all the Democrats."

And Billo is gonna personally rescue all the homeless veterans? Or just the one's sleeping outside even though there are hundreds of empty beds at all the luxurious shelters? Knock yourself out Billo, there are at least tens of thousands of homeless veterans IIRC.

I just went to their website and he's off the list. Thom Hartman is listed in his time slot.

1) Captain Phonesex was setting him up so that he couldn't address more timely and important matters.

2) Neither Captain Phonesex or his moron viewers would have changed their minds on this.


I think going on Fox and not falling into their traps is a good thing.

Meanwhile, Ed is going to go after Captain Phonesex Big Time on his insane comment that there are no veterans homeless under bridges.

arguing the point with O'Reilly would have gone no where. Instead he allowed O'Reilly to step in a big stinking pile of B.S. IAVA is seriously pissed off about Billo's comments and are setting up a site to take him on over his comments about homeless vets.

He's stressed over and over that his primary duty is to bring in ad revenue for his stations. As such, I don't listen to him. He'll go wherever the money blows.

It would be a four hour show. At least.

Perhaps Ed's smart enough to just let Falafel live in his own alternate reality. There's no sense in arguing points with the insane. I have a hard enough time of it here at DU (rimshot!)

I happen to like Ed. Perhaps because we're both midwesterners and I can relate. He works hard to keep the show entertaining and has some very good guests. Any other host out there have Kucinich on for a whole three hours? Thought not.

I try to opt out of the whole "if you don't agree with me, you're a fraud" attacks. They're just plain stupid. I also take talk radio for what it really is, entertainment. I don't need to be preached at from the mountaintop. I'd like to think I'm smarter than that. Quite frankly, I like to hear people who don't totally agree with me, so long as their not inane.

It's just that Ed Schultz is NOT one of those.

Big Eddy doesn't work for AAR and thats exactly what he told captain phonesex when he tried to get him to discuss AAR. When O'Reilly started talking about them he began his spiel about how they traffic in personal attacks (Like he doesn't do the same, projection much). It was a trap to get Ed to try and defend them so he could twist his words and use it against him, Ed didn't fall into it. Bill would have just talked over him (which he did throughout the interview, which annoyed me) and Ed probably wouldn't have gotten a word in edgewise. Bill is an asshole but make no mistake he is good at twisting words and framing the discussion in his favor. Besides AAR is his competition and he has no real obligation to defend them.

Also Schultz hasn't been a supporter of Lieberman in a long time and has been critical of him, especially after the 2006 election.

I personally enjoy listening to Big Eddy. He puts on a good show, has the best guests and makes many valid points.

I'd PAY to subscribe to a podcast where Sam Seder and Dewey just take listener calls for 3 hours a day on any topic that anyone calls in with.

And people wonder why I never listen to talk radio-- regardless of whether it's left or right, up or down...
