McCain open to Lieberman as VP?

The Wall Street Journal reports that, in an interview with John McCain, he “did little to dissuade” the notion that he may select Joe Lieberman as his running mate. “He’d be a great partner in any endeavor, including joining America together,” McCain said in response to a question on the Lieberman factor. “Let’s reach across the aisle, let’s work together for America. That’s what Joe Lieberman is all about.” McCain has previously said he “definitely” wants Lieberman to have a national security role in his administration.

6. Why you think if we don't nominate Clinton McCain will choose someone else as his VP?

12. I don't think she can beat a McCain ticket, much less paired with Lieberman
The right looks at him as a Dem who has "come to his senses" or some shit.

2. They would be perfect together.
Neither one of them will ever be resident at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave but they can dream of late nights working hand in hand all they want. It's a free country.

3. If this happens - Hillary will not be able to win the GE.
Not a chance in hell; the Independent vote and a lot of moderate Democrats, unfortunately, will vote for McCain/Lieberman.

7. I really doubt the popularity of Lieberman or McCain among mainstream Dems or Repubs
both, together, would make quite a good target.

8. This Deal Was Made A Long Time Ago
While I suspect Gomer Graham won't be too happy, but you know the village idiots of the coporate media will do hand-flips with this "bi-partisan" ticket. Hell, CNN just can't get off the Bloomberg bandwagon and the GOOP knows its only game this year will be bullshit and deception...whose better to have on your team that Holy Joe. Also, Joementum brings $$$...how else was McCain bailed out when he was all but circling the bottom of the drain a few months ago. Holy Joe's ego wants to think EVERYONE loves him and that by being the GOOP nominee for the same gig the Democrats nominated him for will ensure his "legacy" as a man above partisanship :puke:

The fun will be who is the VP nominee...firstly no matter whose nominated, I am sure they'll be forced into a shotgun marriage to try to bandage up the rifts in this inept party...and also to see how these goons view the Cheney "legacy"...will they want another "powerful" executive or someone who will go to funerals?

9. He's just trying to fend off a Bloomberg run. He also announced that
he would fill his cabinet positions with "non-partisan" captains of industry.

11. "...including joining America together"
LMAO

America has cancer and many in DC want to treat her for a broken leg. Like all it takes is joining the bone back together ...pretending the cancer doesn't exist.

15. The war monger's ticket
If McCain gets the nomination, I think you can bet on Lieberman becoming his running mate. And there won't be anything left of the Middle East if they are elected.
