I'll most likely use it to pay off a credit card bill, but if the bill is paid off already anyway, then I'd likely donate the money to the Democratic presidential nominee.

13. It's ours in the first place. They took it from us and gave it to the uber rich.
And now they want us to go all ga-ga about a minute fraction of it back to us.

OH BOY! I can't wait! It won't even be enough to buy an new fridge, but what the hell...it's "free money" right?

the utility companies to pay for heating bills

or to the insurance companies to pay for health insurance

Edited on Thu Jan-17-08 11:37 AM by Rebellious Republica
does any one really believe that we common folk will get much back. Its all bullshit, here in Florida I got back $30.00 whole dollars on the big property tax cuts given by the GOP legislature. Who really benefited from those tax cuts, gee, maybe its all those wealthy GOP supporters with the mega Mc-Mansions on the beach. And as an added benefit, lots of people lost their jobs as a result and services were cut for people like me, cause those wealthy supporters can afford to buy whatever they need, why should they care if services were cut. People just don't get it!

:argh:

26. It is a tax rebate - not extra money.
Do you remember the last tax rebate given out by the bush? It happened just after the dot-com bubble popped. We got $300 back (the billionaires and millionaires got millions back). But when it came time to do our tax returns, we had to subtract the $300 from our our tax refund.

So what is going to happen is the bush, and go along Dems, will give us $300 in 2008 that the IRS would have given to us as a refund in 2009 - Big freaking deal. It is merely smoke and mirrors so the economy wont sink until the bush is out of office. At least that is the hope of the idiots in charge.
