Lawrence O'Donnell calls culinary workers "not all that sharp" on Countdown.

Defends his assessment by saying "Look at the demographics of the unions." Defends this indefensible slur by saying that he was talking about their youth.

All of this in the context of Obama's statement that he would like to emulate Reagan's presidency insofar as it lead to change in America. KO asked if this favorable reference to Reagan would not upset Obama's union supporters, since Reagan was so horrid to unions such as the air traffic controllers, and O'Donnell said it was ok, the members of the culinary workers union are "not all that sharp".

There is something seriously wrong with O'Donnell. Maybe he needs some medical help. Maybe he should stop making political statements that he claims are in support of Obama but which sound like the ravings of Obama's worst political enemy.

He is a wrinkled dyed hair leprochan who lost all credibility. he was once a welcome voice on the mclauglin group but now is a waste of space. Jumped the shark and it's a shame.

He was describing their political acumen not their level of intelligence. He said they were mostly
under forty and would not have the historical perspective to remember Reagan's attack on unions.

He also said the Obama's Reagan statement would go over very well with independents in the California primary.
He said Reagan is very popular in California. Larry should know he lives there.

Gee, you mischaracterized him. Wouldn't be that you had an ax to grind or anything.

In recent weeks he trashed Romney (and especially the Mormons) and Edwards. His hatchet jobs were poorly written and pretty nasty. I used to see him on the Mclaughlin show and he seemed to be a reasonable if somewhat wimpy spokesman for the Democratic point of view.

But reading his recent screeds and hearing him on Countdown you'd conclude he was a ragin loony tune. He sounds like a fuckin idiot.

I'm guessing he won't be invited back.

like everything that was coming out of his mouth was sage advice. It was probably hard to find a self styled liberal who would call Obama's remarks about Reagan sound strategy.

After seeing him, I am inclined to think that he is under a lot of stress and needs some help. He didn't look right. Of course it could be the 1000 plus responses to his "Edwards is a loser" that were all some variation of "F**K off, I am sending money to Edwards right now, you loser" over at the Huffington Post.

Could he secretly be an Edwards' supporter trying to trash the Obama campaign and drum up support for Edwards? I would hate to think that such a thing exists, since I am an Edwards supporter, and I do not like dirty tricks, but I guess I have to keep an open mind. He is a screenwriter.

Why do these people never mention that it is the Democratic Party of Nevada who made these rules in March, with full knowledge and acceptance by the people who actually brought the suit. And, why don't people listen to what Obama actually said, rather than regurgitate ad nauseam what is interpreted by some schmuck on the tv screen?
