Details of Bush's Economic Stimulus Package 01.18.08
A day after Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said he believes the right fiscal stimulus package could jump start the economy, President George W. Bush is expected to outline his recommendations for the much discussed economic stimulus plan.
During a press conference Thursday, a Bush spokesperson told a reporter the administration remains committed to its long-term economic policy.
“First of all, with respect to permanence of the tax cuts, that's something we're absolutely committed to as a long-term economic growth policy; it has been for a long time, since we passed the tax cuts, I think we've wanted to make them permanent,” Bush spokesperson Tony Fratto said Thursday.
