Man, I wish lived where you live. $3.35 and rising. Good old oil company "zone pricing". :eyes: That and New York State's taxes being the highest in the nation.

4. With inflation the way it is, and they way inflation is going to get worse as rates are dropped
I would almost rather have the gold. At least you know that it will spend at a fairly consistent value, and will be worth something when paper money is being printed out by the trainloads.

8. It won't work. Unfortunately, if ANY leadership told the American people the truth

About the consequences of allowing Bush & co. to steal our treasury blind & dismantle our security nets....they would cover their ears & say 'I CAN'T HEAR YOU'!!!!!!!

The American people need to acknowledge what has happened & prepare for the real life consequences. We don't get a lot of real
discussion about the reality America faces because the American people have a kill the messenger mentality. This conversation will only happen AFTER the downfall, & I worry about any Democratic President taking the fall for the thieving of our treasury & the fact that it will happen in the NEXT administration.

I wonder if the Republicans don't really want to win this one, so they can resume their blame game & take cover while the Democrats bear the brunt for THEIR crimes. I think that is what may happen.

11. I once suggested on DU that the Democrats not run anybody in 2008 for President.
Let another Repub either continue to destroy the country or try to clean up Bush's legacy!
