Believe it or not, some people really do make lifelong friendships in college.

Just ask http://www.thecrimson.com/article.aspx?ref=228242">Tommy Lee Jones, who lived across the hall from - and then later http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tommy_Lee_Jones">roomed with - Gore.

Or Bob Somersby, another roommate who now runs http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Somerby">The Daily Howler.

Or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Lithgow">John Lithgow, who also haunted their merry band.

When Al Gore spoke to the Class of 94 (while attending his own 25 year reunion), he passed a torch of sorts to at least one other Band of Merry Men.

And having escorted a few to formals, we know - quite well - the different archtypes of Wellesley Women. Some aren't worthy to occupy the Oval.
