At this point the Giuliani Campaign should be nominated for 'worst presidential campaign ever'..
... and that is before his buddy is tried for all those charges contained in the Federal Indictment, and Rudy is called as a witness, and Rudy is questioned about lying under oath.

THere is so much firepower yet to be used on the good ship Rudy, but it already has too many fatal leaks to right itself.

Hard to believe the MSM spent over a year declaring Rudy Giuliani as the 'inevitable' Repub Nomination.

1. Are you trying to suggest the MSM got it wrong?
My entire world view is shattered.

2. It certainly is a monumental crash-and-burn.
I thought it would take a little longer than this for people to catch on. Didn't give them enough credit, I guess.

6. Seems like it.
We did very well in '06 in the mid-terms. Democratic party self-identification is up, Republican ID seems to be down, and Independents are leaning left. Hopefully, that was the start of a trend.

5. oh, I don't know
I think Fred might be gunning for a strong finish and unseat Herr Rudy.

That's if someone could get him out of his hammock and wake him up. :boring:

11. Fred is right up there as far as shit campaigns go but i think the expectations
for Guiliani were much higher, it's nice to watch him crash and burn.

12. okay, yes, I agree with you there
and being a New Yorker who endured Tyrant Rudy's temper tantrum-laced rule, I couldn't be happier to see the lil' bastid crash and burn. Guess Judy ... sorry, Judith won't get to wear her tiara at the Inauguration after all.

17. thanks
ccpup is for my 10 year old dachshund Cinnamon (who we called ccpup when she was young) and the pup in the pic is my new guy (2 and a half years old), a Norwich Terrier named Harry who's a big ball of puppy fun.

Love 'em both to bits!

8. I'd wait until he loses NYC (fingers crossed!). Or rather , that will be the end
as NYC/911 is his raison d'etre in the race.

10. I know several people who have devoted their lives for more than a decade...
to the mission of stopping the seeming-inevitable rise of Rudy to American Mussolini, which only they understood and warned us all about. What will they do now?

Of course, there's no shortage of other candidates for that position, but none as cartoonishly effective for the role.

Okay, maybe the Huck.

14. I dont believe Rudy ever WAS a serious candidate
His "campaign" was more a personal PR campaign to promote himself as some sort of terrorism expert (lol) than actually trying to win votes.

I know at one time he was a partner in a large international security firm (just coincedentally the same firm responsible for security of the London subway at the time of those attacks a few years back....), so I would bet this was to help further obtain more worldwide security contracts than anything else.
