1. WE should take it to heart. It was great advice for all political parties in a time of election.

9. If we disagree, we should tell each other.
Can't we caucus amongst ourselves?

10. I wish we could do it face to face. We could smile and avoid this rancor!

7. He was wrong on that too. Only time you hear it brought up is when a republican politician
can't handle a campaign.

8. Cheap shot ... while I've got rational reasons why Obama is not my choice,

a single statement that has been misconstrued/spun (out of control) isn't one of them. Same thing for Hillary - this whole Hillary/Obama 'sideshow' has become somewhat embarrassing given what challenges our country faces thanks to over a decade of GOP control (legislature then executive).

As far as following ANY Republican play book, IMO, one of the GREAT things about the D party is that it has historically encouraged diversity and freedom of thought/opinion/dissent as opposed to the R's who (as is proven by the OP's subject line) have been told to march in lockstep with the party.

The M$M is manipulating the primaries to boost ratings (i.e., make it 'sexy') - R & D - by exaggerating/spinning/hyping celebrity and 'dirt'. And, it is up to the candidates, party reps, and the electorate/supporters of a candidate not to play into their hands.

From the economy to Iraq, civil rights to privacy, health care to climate change -- we are facing internal and external challenges that have not been faced by this country since, perhaps, the Civil War.

That is why it is important for all voters to independently research the candidates - don't take the M$M's word for it, don't just read the candidate's website -- visit http://www.vote-smart.org/; http://www.opensecrets.org/; etc. Don't follow the leader - whether it be your friends, boss, cable tv pundits, etc. Choose wisely and make your vote count.

11. Ah, but Democrats are not Republicans
for better or for worse, we'll speak our minds, regardless of the cost. It almost always seems to be more important for Democrats to keep their fellow Democrats from being NOMINATED than to keep Repukes from being elected. Granted, the process can be fun to watch, but the consequences for the nation are mostly tragic.
