3. Typical for bu$h excess upon failed excess
He sent more troops to fight a failed occupation and trying to sink the economy even further is no different.

If I get any money from this little scam, I will not spend it until that gang of thieves are out of Washington.

365 days to go!

4. I'm not sure about that
In our paper today, they did interviews with several people. The majority said they would pay bills, pay property taxes with one person saying they would put in their savings. Only one person said they would use it for remolding their home.

You're right on in one respect. The oil companies will get a big majority of it as I expect there are people who have huge heating bills which this may help pay down.

In the long run it will do very little if anything to boost the economy. It's like putting a band aid on a severed arm or leg.

5. Bush was going to try to capitalize on the crisis to extend his tax cuts
but he has recently said that he will treat them separately.

On the other hand, congressional republicans are still saying they are going to try to link a stimulus package to the extension, which I think is just bluster. Those tax cuts are history.

6. I doubt it
Corporate America isn't exactly soaring atm. I doubt 150 billion in borrowed money is going to do much.

7. Bush should be under house arrest, rather than running around making
more destructive decisions for America.
