McCain is a scolding, self-righteous curmudgeon
Edited on Mon Jan-21-08 10:45 AM by Stevendsmith
And I’m not sure I can stand the site of him anymore – much less endure the corporate-media tongue bath he’s going to ride to the nomination. Even worse will be all the conservative and moderate Democrats giving me their “Yeah, buts” for McCain.

Yeah, but he had to support Bush….”

Yeah, but he’s not as bad as Bush….”

Yeah, but he was a POW….”

Idiots.

1. He is running for a Chimpy Third Term.
That needs to be repeated and repeated, and he will assuredly lose.

2. I've already heard from
several people I know that McCain wouldn't be as bad as Huckabee or Romney, etc. He's for tax cuts for corporations and ultra-wealthy, and he's 100% for this free trade fiasco & wants to expand it even further. That in itself should be enough for any working person to vote against him. I just don't get it...

5. He's also out of campaign money
Not to mention, he's entering the era of closed primaries, and he hasn't been winning so far by garnering a majority or even a plurality (as far as I have seen) of the Republican votes cast. How's he going to do when it's just the Republicans voting in the primaries? How's he going to campaign without any money?

6. If he establishes himself as the front-runner...
which he is well on his way to doing, the establishment money will flow into his coffers.

We underestimate McCain at our own peril.

The dude is rolling.

9. Hillary will fight him as Bush 02. She already started it - last debate.

She sucessfully won an election in 2000 doing the same to her GOP opponent - in NY Bush was already vile even back then.
