While not exactly land of the free and home of the brave, the KSA is changing very quickly... I think this should get them to about the equivalent of 1850 in the US...

Dubai: Women in Saudi Arabia can now stay in a hotel or a furnished apartment without a male guardian according to a decision by the Ministry of Trade, reported the local press on Monday.

I posted this because the story in Breaking News was not complete and did not have details about the removal of the driving ban...

But I still find it mind boggling how in this day and age, there are so many steps yet to take in how so many global cultures treat women as less than human.

...and we are regressing, I predict we will have equivalent legal systems by 2025.
