What would happen if the economy came to a halt?
Would it be the end? or would it be an opportunity to stop most of the shit that is going on? Just how bad would it be, could it stop the gears of war?

4. Read up on the Great Depression.
It's not an appealing scenario.

6. Actually, it would be WORSE. During the Great Depression, 80%
of the population was either on a farm already or could go back to the parents' farm, and so they could grow food in order to keep from starving, and they had a roof over their heads. The population today not only doesn't have a farm to go back to, it doesn't even know how to farm, fix things, cook, can, or, dare I say, physically work hard for a 14-hour day.

So, they're screwed.

7. Today, we have the means to communicate and create wealth...
... much more efficiently. It would be incredibly hard to recreate the Great Depression, despite having the same trigger: an economy pumped full of government "monopoly-money".

9. The economy can't halt.
All you need is someone willing to buy. War is business, and abundant when business is bad.

Crop failures, that would be something noticeable.

10. We'd go on a trade and barter system
and those with food and supplies would either ward off those without or share their supplies in a community. That's why it is a good idea to have a community set in place, where supplies and talents can be shared so that you can get by.
