My "Liberal Media" letter makes it to print

I was surprised this one made it, as it was a bit longer than they prefer, but I did get a lot of facts in there. Feel free to reply as well - thanks

LIBERAL MEDIA?
I love how Republicans write and claim that the media is liberal, yet they never cite actual facts to back up their claim. The truth shows that the media is actually conservative. It was ABC’s parent company that blocked distribution of Michael Moore’s factual documentary , “Fahrenheit 9/11,” yet had no problems with running egregiously specious pro-Republican fiction like “Path to 9/11.” It was CBS’ head honcho Sumner Redstone saying he wanted Republicans to win, and it was CBS that fired Dan Rather for one minor error in a “60 Minutes” report on George Bush, yet did nothing regarding the huge errors and mistakes when Kathleen Whilley was interviewed about Bill Clinton. It was NBC-GE’s head Jack Welch, a major Bush donor, which led the media charge to incorrectly declare George Bush the winner in the 2000 elections. MSNBC then canceled their then highest-rated show, Phil Donahue, on the eve of the Iraq invasion because they were afraid he might speak out against the war. GE just happens to be one of the world’s biggest defense contractors . Republicans may love to claim the media has liberal bias, but reality shows the opposite.

It's tough to stay on just one point, and tempting to bring in a lot of other things that are tangentially involved. You did a good job staying with your point, which is what the publishers are looking for.

Their backlash will be, "How can you say the media is conservative? Everybody knows it's liberal, we just know it is."

that had just matter-of-factly claimed the media was liberal. But, they cited no evidence or facts to support their claim.
