8. Not so much now. No
Also, it's not done with it's correction. It's currently reacting to the rate cut, but when everything gets sorted out it will go back to its pattern of up some-down more.

5. They were given an emergency .75 basis point rate cut
That's enough to give it a nice dead cat bounce.

It's a weird beast.

9. How many times can a dead cat bounce?
They can't make anymore drastic cuts, for awhile. Chimpy's stimuli only shake the hope of the world markets. With more bad economic news, what more quick-fix prop ups do they have?

10. Eventually it will have to run its course
In the short term they know they can rely on the hubris of the US market investors to gloss over reality. However, they really don't have any more tricks left in their magic hat to dazzle the economy with.

11. There was little or no chance
the market would be allowed to fall to any great extent today. I don't see any huge loss, but more of a drip, drip, drip. Just saying.

12. Down abut 200 right now, but if it like this after lunch it will recover very quickly
The fact that it didn't drop 500 points today will bring in the early wave of people picking up bargains.

That'smy guess, what's yours?

14. I think we just witnessed the last desperate act of the ppt
they can't pull anything else out of their ass. The interest cut should have been the last move they can make there, the ppt is low on funds, they held things to a 128 point loss, but it's just to heavy to keep holding it up. 10,000 by the middle of Feb.
