3. What--like I have any say in it at all?
Am I supposed to run in circles screaming that I don't want money I'm never going to see anyway? What the hell for?

4. Other.
Sorry, but acceptance of a tax rebate (or paying taxes, for that matter) doesn't constitute an endorsement of Bushco's murdering of babies and other Iraqi and American innocents.

I'm too poor to get this rebate, but I do get the Earned Income Credit, and I will accept it eagerly in order to help feed and clothe my kids.

5. This tax 'rebate' is seperate from EIC
Edited on Thu Jan-24-08 03:59 AM by Breeze54
You should take the EIC.

But some have said they don't care if Iraqi babies skulls are crushed,

as long as they get their money. :puke:

I disagree with you.

This 'rebate' for the wealthy is a payoff in an election year.

Don't be fooled.

8. Not saying I think Bush's rebate is fair.
I'm just saying that accepting it doesn't mean you approve of the war.

I didn't see the comment about babies' skulls - such comments are obviously in poor taste.

It may be intended to buy rich jerks' votes, but I wouldn't count on it working very well...

6. Obama's plan is a FICA rebate
and a bump in social security checks, so that everybody gets some help. I kind of figure if they're going to dump money into the mortgage companies that got us into this mess, they ought to give some help to the people who standing on the sidelines, doing the right thing.

7. I think it's a carrot dangled in front of a mule.
And the dangler is laughing and laughing.
