Grocery prices and the walking wounded.
I went to the grocery store earlier this evening.
People where shuffling down the aisles like zombies.
One out of every other shopper was commenting to
anyone who happened to be near how outrageous the prices were and
how much smaller the packaging had become.

I couldn't help but comment every chance I could,
"And to think some people actually voted for the destruction of their standard of living..."

Sorry, I have no pity for bush-bots who are now complaining
about the fact that they can't afford food.

1. WHAT is going on with decaffienated tea??
regular tea is around $3 for 24 quart size bags and the same size box decaffeinated is over $7 -- even at Walmart!

Ya, I know - water. But do you have any idea what going off iced tea does to a southerner? :)

4. The amount of fuel being used by the military is not helping anything.
Not sure why decaffeinated tea is so high though.
I was shocked at the prices of just about everything
so I decided to stick with stock ingredients so that I could
make things myself. Soup etc...

It's getting ugly out there, that's for sure.
So many people are used to buying meals that
are already made- no one cooks from scratch anymore
but I'll bet people are going to start learning how.
It's much cheaper.

3. I am one of those muttering expletives in the aisle.
Talking with the produce manager, he agreed that the only items he/we could afford were the sale or discounted priced goods.

It's sort of interesting to me to watch the
bushbots trying to figure out what happened.
The disconnect is amazing.

I mutter too, but be sure to curse Bush and Cheney
while I complain about the prices.
Heh.

6. Now you have given me an idear!!
The Publix near my job is VERY busy with Reaganistas at lunchtime. I need to wheel in there, pick up an apple and say nice and loud - "$2.99 a pound for apples? Damn Republicans."

:)

8. By George, I think she's got it!
At the gas pump and the grocery store,
NEVER miss the opportunity to associate
the bushites and the pain of the purse.
Rub it in EVERY chance you get!
Doesn't hurt to remind them of the
gazillions being spent on the wars either.
While standing at the pump as the owner
of the SUV next to you grimaces as they watch
the numbers while they gas up you can say something like,
"I wonder how low gas prices could go if we
didn't have to fuel all those tanks and F-16s in Iraq?"

7. Believe me... the expletives are directed at the cabal in the WH
and their corporate directors that handle them. And, my vote was has been cast for Dems since 1984 (moved back to the States in '83)

9. Yeah and you always tell the Bush voters when you curse him these days-
They look sort of sheepish and ashamed.
Not one defender have I seen lately.
Big mouthed Bushbots don't have much to say these days,
do they?

11. You don't know for sure until you reply to them-
You say,
"Yeah, aint Bush done wonders for this country?"

The Bushbots shuffle away with their tails between their legs
most of the time.
