5. Is there some sicko prize up for grabs?
If so, your affection for and attraction to some being that is bonded to a war mongering subhuman coward certainly gets my vote. Or if there is a "I am a superficial idiot" contest, well, then, again, you might get a vote, although that contest would put you into a a much larger class of fools, and it might be harder to pick you out.

I ready a story where she brought home a child from Bangladesh who needed medical treatment, handed the child to John, and said "this is our new daughter".

She's also very wealthy in her own right.

in the US, especially children from outside the US

you need all kinds of legal and institutional certification from US govt and social work agencies, etc....

you need a home study, for starters

it takes months, and money

you can't just decide to keep a child that strikes your fancy

37. the whole story
http://nalert.blogspot.com/2008/01/will-media-ignore-john-mccains-personal.html
When McCain returned to the United States in 1973 after more than five years as a prisoner of war, he found his wife was a different person. Carol McCain, once a model, had been badly injured in a car wreck in 1969. The accident "left her 4 inches shorter and on crutches, and she gained a good deal of weight."

Despite her injures, she had refused to allow her POW husband to be notified about her condition, fearing that such news would not be good for him while he was being held prisoner.

But, just a couple years later, McCain, while pondering a future in politics, met Cindy Hensley, an attractive 25-year-old woman from a very wealthy politically-connected Arizona family. While still married to Carol, McCain began an adulterous relationship with Cindy. He married Cindy in May 1980 just a month after dumping his crippled wife and securing a divorce.

McCain followed his young, millionairess wife back to Arizona.

(Stuff on divorce settlement, too)

(snip)

While he was imprisoned, Carol was in an auto wreck (1969), thrown through her car's windshield and left seriously injured. Despite her injures, she refused to allow her POW husband to be notified about her condition, fearing that such news would not be good for him while he was being held prisoner.

(snip)

While still married to Carol, McCain began an adulterous relationship with Cindy. He married Cindy in May 1980 -- just a month after dumping Carol and securing a divorce. The newlyweds honeymooned in Hawaii.

(snip)

McCain, 63, gave her his interest in homes in Alexandria, Va., and South Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., according to records of the divorce settlement obtained by The Associated Press and other newspapers.

The Arizona senator agreed to give her their furnishings, $1,325 a month in alimony, $300 in child support. He also agreed to pay an additional $500 monthly if she couldn't find a job.

She was subsequently employed in the Reagan White House, according to George "Bud" Day, McCain's attorney during the divorce. Day also was one McCain's cellmates when they were prisoners of war in Vietnam.

McCain promptly dumped her like a hot potato and took up with Cindy.

be assured that it will be resurrected. The charity, as elehhhhna says, was a sham to score her opiates and if it weren't for her station in life, she'd be doing very hard time.

Here's another great local story about the scandal and how McCain's influence quashed it:

Wealthy Republican woman has opiate addiction, steals drugs, and is then whisked off to an astronomically expensive rehab. No legal problems whatsoever.

Poor guy, with the same addiction, gets caught with a bag of dope and is dumped into a jail cell with zero concern for his health. No rehab, no help, just a cell.

If you're going to be a narcotics addict in America, make sure you have lots of money.

33. Overall, I think Cindy is allright
She did adopt a child from Bangladesh. She also really did not like her treatment by Bushco during the South Carolina primary in 2000. I've also read that she also does not enjoy campaigning very much and was never really into the idea of her husband running for office. On the other hand she had a small part in the Keating Five scandal and she also started seeing McCain when he was already married. I also think Mitt Romney's wive okay. She has MS but its in remition. Got to give her credit for working through that. But overall I like Michele Obama the best. Just a straightforward likable woman with two young daughters.
