The Papua New Guinea village of Labutali along the Huon Gulf peninsula is preparing to relocate its 1,500 residents two kilometres inland because of rising sea levels. A village community-based organisation, village elders and the Morobe disaster office decided last year to relocate Labutali for the safety of residents The new village site is currently being cleared and volunteer architecture students from several Australian universities and PNG's University of Technology are involved in its design and construction. )

his house there is on a 'hill' about 5 ft above sea level. of course he is a atmospheric chemist studying the climate.
