More tax cuts to the wealthy

The escalation of the fake "War on Terror"

More power to corporations

More jobs being shipped overseas

More environmental devastation

The final death blow to public schools

7. My take on this is that a left of center person would not be elected at this time.

They will be a reaction to the right as in "Bush right" just as there was a reaction to the left as in "Carter left." But after Reagan things went farther right.

Chances are that once elected the Dem candidate may preside on a more leftward tilt of the country. If the people want things to go in that direction I think that they will. The middle class saw it's ass handed to it by the right and I think they will now shy away from right wing ideology since it is in their best interest to do so.
