Sorry, I recall our little conversation from that thread... trouble is, I did most of the work in laying out my beliefs, and situations. You were having too much fun being emptily aggressive and subsequently reminding the world why people will never side with you. Democracy takes to two tango and like the song says, "stuck in the middle". Given you or the status quo; why endure the messy upheaval of change? ;)

A big problem is that our economy is so dependent on the military/defense. Even the most dovish congressperson would be loathe not to support the current war, given the threat of cutting defense contracts in that district. Once the military/industrial complex has take over, killing the monster is problematic.
