Pills or poison lead the list, followed closely by firearms. Hanging is way down. However, if the mood overcomes you at a certain moment, then it's easier, as it doesn't require any special equipment. No prescription drugs, trips to the hardware store for the right poison, or buying a firearm.

Self-poisoning is the method employed in 70 percent of all suicide attempts by women.

They would need a cause of suicide consistent with the chokehold. A staged hanging would cover that, and it would help to blur any physical clues left for autosopy by the choking.
