I haven't seen anything about this yet posted in DU. I think it is a huge story that isn't getting much press.

7. What is odd is that there was a famous serial killer called the Happy Face killer.

I just finished reading a book by Jack Olsen about a serial killer known as the Happy Face killer.

the book is "I: the Creation of a Serial Killer." The book is about Keith Hunter Jesperson. I believe he is still alive in prison.

The book it discusses how prolific a letter writer he is/was. How he liked to write to other serial killers in confinement. Jesperson's trade mark was a Happy Face on the graffiti he left telling of his killings.

I believe a Smiley Face is the same as a Happy Face.

Wonder if there is any connection.
