about the city
http://web.archive.org/web/20030921174435/http://www.cityofseattle.net/leg/clerk/kwikfact.htm#incorpIncorporation Date
The City of Seattle was incorporated by act of the Territorial Legislature on December 2, 1869.
On January 14, 1865, the Territorial Legislature approved the incorporation of the Town of Seattle. However, following submission of a petition by several of the Town's citizens, Seattle was unincorporated on January 28, 1867. Records of this two years of municipal government did not survive.

It was the date of the first settlement not the official incorporation.

34. The info in this post says
that the town was unincorporated on Jan 28, 1867. So, when was it incorporated again, or incorporated as a city? I would use that date as the current effective chart.
The City archives or the mayor's office should have the most recent official incorporation date for Seattle.

10. Okay
http://web.archive.org/web/20030921174435/&res=75&va=
It won't stay up for long. I'm printing a copy and will take a look.
BUT, I have to say that while a chart run for the generic "noon" on a particular date should have some relevance, the exact time of "birth" is preferred. As time goes on the progressions get very out of whack, and they can be pretty important. However, as I said, the Noon chart ought to have some relevance as well.
First thing I see: a good Aquarius Asc (free-thinking, individualistic, somewhat eccentric at times, independent-is-my-middle-name). Sun in Sag which is groovy too. Moon in Sag, but very, very early Sag so it's possible that it actually could have been in Scorpio -- another illustration of why exact time is important, but for things like this difficult to have. However, you've got lots of great astrologers in Seattle. One or more of them may have rectified the birthtime. I'll bet if you called around, you'd find one willing to share that info with you.
I'm still very confused about your original post date -- very different from what the link said. ????

11. Bare bones rundown
I certainly invite anyone who cares to to jump right in. It's late here and I'm tired, so I'm just going to list some of the transits and progressions that caught my eye (if I didn't make any errors as I looked at this quickly).
(BTW, I ran the chart for progressions and transits for June 25 -- a few days hence. T = Transit, N = Natal, Pr = Secondary Progression)
Pr Venus square N Sun, exact July 1
T Jupiter square N Pluto exact on July 1
T Jupiter trine N Saturn exact on July 4
T Jupiter square N Pluto, exact on June 23
T Pluto conjunct N Saturn, was exact on June 10 and still within range, tho retrograde and then exact again Nov 9
T Pluto trine Pr Mars July 3 and again Oct 22
T Neptune conj Juno and opposing Pr Asc
T Neptune square N Jupiter
T Pluto trine Pr Mars and conjunct N Juno
T Neptune square N Jupiter
Pr Moon opposing N Neptune and Juno
T Jupiter sextile Pr Moon
T Jupiter inconjunct N Chiron
T Uranus trine N Moon
T Venus trine Sun
Pr Mars is 2 degrees past a conj with N Neptune, unless it's retrograde (which I can't tell from this chart).
I do see some potential for trouble. The one I bolded, plus some of the Neptune stuff. Trines are usually benign, but in the WTC chart, there was a grand trine, and that seemed to indicate "ease of pulling it off" so I don't look at trines in event charts in quite the same way I used to.
That's all for tonight. I'm hoping Nancy will be along and take a look. And again, if anyone sees anything else or wants to interpret any of it, by all means speak up!

13. The original date had the Sun at 2Gemini24
The second date has the Moon at 2Sag38. Given the caveat that I am not sure how much you can tell from this kind of a chart, I am going to focus on these two planets since their trigger points are identcal. Uranus is stationary at 2Pisces49 this month and then retrograde. This is an exact square to these two points. Therefore, I would be especially careful during the Mars Uranus cojunction 6/20 to 6/25. As I have pointed out elsewhere, Saturn will be at 2Cancer30 at the time of the exact conjunction and conjunct the Sun. This falls in quincunx to the above mentioned Moon. That period 6/20 -25 could be dangerous (Mars Uranus)and followed by sorrow (Saturn). Uranus clears both of these points by July 10, but I think the biggest danger, if there is one, would be when Mars is active as well.
All of this suggests that whatever is coming from the difficult aspects to the US chart in late June could manifest in Seattle. To figure it all out one would need the chart of the mayor and perhaps the Governor, as well as the recent eclipses and where they impacted by hitting the angles on the chart of maximum eclipse. I have never been too good at determining where events would transpire beyond which country is impacted.

23. Fron the Secretary of State of Washington
http://web.archive.org/web/20030921174435/http://www.secstate.wa.gov/history/timeline_view.aspx?s=1851&e=1855In February 1852, Arthur A. Denny, William Bell and Carson Boren took an Indian canoe, a clothesline and a bundle of horseshoes out into Elliot Bay to make soundings to see if it was deep enough to serve as a harbor. On February 15, 1852 they decided that the harbor was good and the three of them staked their claims on land which would become the site of the City of Seattle. On May 23, 1853 Arthur A. Denny and Carson Boren filed a plat for the establishment of the town of Seattle, naming it for Chief Sealth of the Duwamish Indians.
King County was established on December 22, 1852 with its county seat established at Seattle. It was named after William Rufus De Vane King, acting vice president under President Millard Fillmore, who had succeeded to the presidency upon the death of President Zachary Taylor. When Fillmore became president, King was named vice president, but King died before he could formally take office

15. Can we get some assistance?
I think it would be helpful to explore both Washington State chart, as well as the other cities and states that I know GBNC has been a little worried about: Chicago (plus IL) and Las Vegas (plus NV).
Can anyone help run down birthdates for these? Thanks,
Eloriel

22. I took a look at the Mayor
He does have Saturn square his Moon from 6/24 to 7/2, though I don't think that in itself is enough to suggest him dealing with a crisis. He will likely feel sad and shoulder some extra burden. OTOH, he has some pretty significant aspects coming in the fall and winter. From September through November, Saturn makes a station square his MC. That sounds more like significant problems and burdens weighing down on him in his role as Mayor. Lots of obstacles and frustrations.
Things get quite intense for him from December 03 through July 04 with Pluto sitting on his Ascendant for much of the time and Neptune opposing his Sun. I would say that could be a real sense of a struggle going on in the environment for survival of some kind (emotional/physical, literal or figurative) and a feeling of confusion and weakness in the midst of it (Neptune). He could come into some signficant prominence during the Pluto transit: it triggers the pr Node conjunct the Ascendant as well.

29. Las Vegas quick look
I see nothing much going on for Vegas either.
"Symbolic" MC (since we don't have birthtime) currently within 1 degree of natal Uranus; Saturn to conjunct Neptune in early July. That's about it.
Of course, please remember: because we don't have an exact birth date, we don't have an Asc or MC (both extremely impt -- remember Pluto was on the Asc of the US chart on 9-11), and we don't have either the correct natal position of the Moon or its correct progressed position for either of these cities. That's a lot, and all of it important, and potentially critical.

27. I see nothing all that much going on for Chicago
that could be horrible for this year. It's about to have it's Uranus return, but Uranus is currently retrograding away from that, and it won't happen this year.
Saturn is about to hit the Asc (Saturn is currently at 2 Cancer and will be within 1 degree of Asc's 4 Cancer 39 at the end of the month -- but remember, this isn't the "real" Asc since we don't have an exact time of birth.
Neptune dancing around Merc and Moon, but currently retrograding away and won't be a player this year. It already did an opposition to Mars and Jupiter (at 8 and 9 Leo) sometime previously, and won't come back for another set this year with al that Rx motion.
Saturn will station within 1 degree of a square to Pr Mars in October. Not such a big deal at the moment.
Nope, nothin' to write home about that I can see.

30. Okay
I've written down the info on IL and NV, but am not going to pursue that right now since those city charts looked so clean and benign.
I saw the King Co. info, but what I'm looking for is Washington State.
Other than that, I'm pretty much finished on this project.
Thanks to all for your help!
