You Would Not F'in' Believe What Disney Is Marketing in China - Call It "Mickey's Secret"
TMZ found these. Follow the link and tell me what their problem is with Vanity Fair, again?

1. Disney is about making money.
They will show faux outrage if called on something, otherwise no problem....

3. Around the Time Of Nipplegate
I remarked that if Janet Jackson had someone's corporate logo tattooed on her breast, it would have been peachy for everyone. A year later, there were the GoDaddy and Tobasco sauce ads.

Here we go again.

2. There is something very, very wrong...
Edited on Fri May-02-08 08:17 AM by TwoSparkles
...with Disney.

Their television shows---which are geared toward seven and eight year olds--feature
girls dressed like tramps and often these girls have absolutely no respect for their
parents or the adults around them. The adults in these programs are portrayed
as dumb asses with the children being smarter than the adults.

My husband and I sat down and watched "Hannah Montana" with our eight-year old and we
couldn't believe what we were seeing. This show is adored by 5-year olds. I can't tell
you how many first graders were dressed in Hanna Montana wigs on Halloween. The show
features guys telling girls, "You're hot!". The one smart girl on the show is positioned
as a complete oaf--complete with a speech impediment and no friends.

Disney adultifies children---and that bothers me--because that is a prevalent rationalization
used by pedophiles. Pedophiles believe that children are fully capable of making
sexual decisions, and they deny that children are vulnerable and not as intellectually
and emotionally sophisticated as adults. These shows reinforce those distortions.

In this day and age---with one in four girls and one in seven boys being sexually abused--I
think it's bizarre to create an industry that is centered around reinforcing such
beliefs.

Disney is a company that does some great things. I know people who work there. However, some
of it really creeps me out.

6. Is It the Difference Between Eurotrash & Ameritrash?
Edited on Fri May-02-08 08:24 AM by Crisco
The Annie photo is sexualized, sure, but the difference is the subject, while appearing young, also appears to be a sexually knowing young *woman.* Whereas these photos look like falsely "innocent" little girls - a wet dream for people who have pedophile fantasies.

8. It's just one aspect of how the corporate culture acclimates the public mind...
...with its profits over people "values." 'Sexualizing' everything {exploitation, not liberation} is crucial in transforming individuals into indifferent, depoliticized fashion consumers; the various "drama" is merely another "accessory." This level of cultural indoctrination - cult of celebrity, sports, emotionless sexuality - is the true religion of America.

16. A lawyer owns TMZ. They have a reputation for salacious accuracy.
http://www.tmz.com/2008/04/30/disneys-dirty-little-victorias-secret/

TMZ has turned up Disney ads marketing lacy, sexy lingerie by models who are made to look underage. They're hawking bras, undies and lacy boy shorts. They are nothing short of seductive. The photos are being used by Shanghai Zhenxin Garment Company to sell Disney clothes in China.

So who "manipulated" Winnie the Pooh into a three-way with jail-bait looking chicks? For the record, Annie Leibovitz didn't take these photos.

Calls to Disney were not immediately returned.

19. There's nothing wrong here.
I am at my beach house for the weekend and I can see more skin right now out of my window.

Teens and their moms.

Without binoculars even.

You can see almost this much at the mall.
